EA Games has just published the list of the exclusive breeds available in the Limited Edition of The Sims 3 Pets console:
  • Aztec-inspired Aztec Panthera cat
  • Panda Pom dog and Panda Chow dog
  • Skunk Birman cat
  • Tiger Chi dog and Tiger Husky dog
  • Dead Space-inspired Ishimura Bobtail cat
  • Bat-inspired Pouncer cat
  • Electronic LED-lit Cyber-tooth Tiger cat, Data Pup dog and Data Pointer dog
  • Robot-influenced Mecha Neko cat, Iron Terrier dog and Robo Dane dog
  • Dragon Age-inspired Mabari War Terrier dog and Mabari War Hound dog
  • Skeleton-themed Skeleton Crew Cat, Bone Mastif dog and Bones dog.

In these day some videogames sites and magazine are publishing new interviews to game producers, taken at EA Showcase or E3. Thanks to SimsVip who discovered the following interviews to Mike Cox, The Sims 3 Pets producer for console version.

On the contrary of the PC version, on consoles The Sims 3 Pets will be a stand-alone game and you don't need to have The Sims 3 already. It will be available on Playstation 3, Nintendo 3DS and Xbox (with Kinect features). A version for Wii hasn't been announced yet.

The Sims 3 Pets comes to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, 3DS and PC/Mac this fall! [release date October, 18 2011 (USA) - 20/21 (EU)]

As a new standalone game, The Sims 3 Pets for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 adds a new level of fun and fulfillment to Sims lives. Players take direct control of their pets as they help their Sims uncover and solve mysteries of the town.

Coming to the 3DS, The Sims 3 Pets unleashes extraordinary pets into a 3D town! They begin by choosing a Sims pet breed and then customize their look and personality traits to make them unique. New to the game, players can have up to three controllable Sims which can be all pets if they choose it! Players unleash their pets and discover what extraordinary abilities they have.
Players will not only determine how their pets look, but they’ll also be able to give them unique personalities traits as well!

  • Fully controllable pets just like your Sims. Pets are playable, so you can direct your Sim’s pet to hunt, climb, dig and more. Who knows what kind of mischief they might get into!
