Other pets

The text of this page is our interpretation of the game's database. The Sims 3 Pets is still under development and this information must be considered as unofficial where not otherwise indicated. The features listed may be not included in the final game and should not be considered as the complete list of the game's interactions.

In order to make things clearer and avoid misunderstandings as much as possible, we have highlighed each piece of information as follows:
moodlet_impressedofficial and confirmed info
moodlet_stirCrazyinfo partially taken from producers' tweets
moodlet_disappointeddoubtful and unclear info

Besides dogs, cat and horses, there are other non-playable pets in the game, about which very little is known. The db doesn't help much, but we guess there will be many types of animals:

  • Blue Gold Macaw
  • Catalina Macaw
  • Cockatoo
  • Congo African Gray
  • Crow
  • Falcon
  • Spotted Sixam
  • Yellow Naped Amazon
  • Cardinal
  • Easter Bluebird
  • Gold finch
  • Lilac Breasted Roller
  • Nuthatch
  • Parakeet
  • Pigeon

  • Ancient Dragon
  • Anole Lizard
  • Chameleon
  • Iguana
  • Pygmy Komodo Dragon
  • Agama Lizard
  • Texas Spiny Lizard
  • Gecko

  • Squirrel
  • Chinchilla
  • Chipmunk
  • Hedgehog
  • Rat
  • Shrew
  • Womrat

  • Yellow Python
  • Emerald Tree Boa Snake
  • Garter Snake
  • Iridescent Shieldtail Snake
  • Malayan Krait Snake
  • Mini Python Snake
  • San Francisco Garter Snake
  • Scarlet King Snake
  • Yellow Chondro Python

  • Spotted Turtle
  • Barbours Map Turtle
  • Eastern Box Turtle
  • Indian Roofed Turtle
  • Pygmy Turtle.
  • Red Eared Slider Turtle
  • Spiny Turtle
  • Western Painted Turtle
Also, it looks like there are non-playable and non-adoptable animals too: raccoons and deers (we have seen them in that trailers that came out earlier this year).

moodlet_disappointedBasing on what we know about The Sims 3 and considerins the hunting skill, we guess these animals can be similar to collectibles, like fishes, butterflies and bugs that can be caught. There are terrariums too.
